Windows update breaks microphone

Windows often updates your audio driver whereas the updated driver might not be the correct one, so here’s what one can do. You need to first uninstall the audio driver in the device manager.
Right click the driver and click uninstall and restart the computer. This will install the driver again automatically.
If that doesn’t resolve the issue. Follow the same procedure and uninstall the driver but DO NOT RESTART.
